Cloves are flower buds that come from the tree in the Myrtaceae, Syzygium aromaticum family. They are native to Maluka island in Indonesia. Cloves are usually used as a spice to lend its flavor to marinades, curries.. etc. For non-culinary uses, it works as an ant or mosquito repellent as well as in traditional medicine for toothaches.
